Schmitt Elementary School

Description

Harry Weese designed the school in 1957 as the beginning of the Cummins Foundation architectural program. Each room has a peaked roofline, making an interesting zigzag exterior silhouette. An addition in 1991 by Leers, Winzapfel & Associates was needed to accommodate the growing school population.
